Beginning in the 2008-2009 academic year, the Student Conduct Council has adopted three major changes to the sexual misconduct policy. These new adjustments clarify the policy on issues such as incapacitation and sexual exploitation.
The reforms to the Sexual Misconduct Policy were a result of a year of efforts by the Dean of Students Office and the Student Conduct Council.

Last week, freshmen elected three Student Government Association senators and the student body ratified a new Student Government Constitution and By-Laws for the first time in 16 years.
Participation in the election was low at only 185 votes, but SGA Vice President Andrew Johnson said the turnout was satisfactory when compared to the situation last year.
