Sen. Barack Obama campaigned in Greensboro last Saturday with running mate Sen. Joe Biden. Obama spoke at the rally less than 12 hours after wrapping up the first presidential debate with Sen. John McCain. Approximately 20,000 people stood in a light drizzle to hear the Democratic nominee for President speak primarily on the economy and domestic issues.

Asheville locals caught a glimpse of Greek culture at the 22nd annual Greek festival, or "panageri," at Martin Luther King Park last weekend.
