Gardner-Webb ran its home unbeaten streak to seven matches and improved its position in the upcoming Atlantic Sun tournament by virtue of 4-1 win over Jacksonville at Varsity Field.

GWUís seniors were honored for their years of play for the Bulldogs. Then Maureen Foley, Lauren Potts and Leeanna Woodworth then went out and made sure that the celebration culminated in a victory. The Seniors had a part of all four goals combining for one goal and three assists.

The scoring started early in the match for Gardner-Webb as Foley misdirected a Woodworth free kick to Lindsay Gladhill for her second goal of the season at the 3:17 mark.

Brittany Woods then scored the eventual game-winner in the 29th minute by beating two JU defenders at mid-field before firing a shot past Michelle Kmiotek, giving the Bulldogs the 2-0 lead. Gladhill and Woodworth were each credited with an assist on the play.

The score remained 2-0 until Woods found Gladhill open on the left side. Gladhill beat Kmiotek again for her second goal of the game and third of the season.

Woodworth then made it a 4-0 Gardner-Webb advantage five minutes later with an unassisted score for the 48th goal of her career.

Jacksonville managed to get on the board in the 78th minute, trimming the deficit to 4-1 on a successful penalty kick by Amber Otto, but that would be all the Bulldogs and Defensive Player of the week Corinne Razem would allow.
